FPNCyL is a public body of the Regional Government promoting sustainable development, eco-innovation and circular economy in Castilla y León. It has experience in the re-naturalization of urban areas including projects of composting and is the responsible for the regional strategy of Circular Economy. FPNCyL has a large experience in programming, implementing and monitoring EU OP and funded projects. FPNCYL has participated in EU funded projects relevant to main European policies: LIFE, INTERREG, Twinning, Erasmus, Horizon… The region of Castilla y León was selected on 2022 by the European Commission as one of the 12 CCRI pilot regions and cities of the European Union, for the application of a new methodology for the preparation of circular economy action plans based on systemic solutions by value chains and FPNCyL is in charge of this action. The pilot of Castilla y León is based on the boost of the Food-Nutirient-Water value chain.
